Older individuals are in a particularly vulnerable position, as they usually do not have a steady income stream. They are also more at the mercy of fluctuations in the stock market. It would seem to make sense that older individuals experience greater levels of financial stress than their younger counterparts. This paper explores how financial stress, as well as other life characteristics, impact our stress levels as we age.
